Description
A leaked Windows 11 build is already available online, and many users have installed it to see what’s new. The system has several changes that look similar to the cancelled Windows 10X.
The Start menu no longer has live tiles. Instead, it shows a simple list of pinned apps. The windows and menus now have rounded corners, which makes everything look softer and more modern.
File Explorer has new, brighter icons that match the overall style. When hovering over the maximize button, the system offers layout options for arranging windows — useful for multitasking. Switching between virtual desktops is now faster and more organized.
The setup process looks cleaner, with bigger text and softer colors. Even though this is an early version, it runs well. Internally, it still identifies as Windows 10, which means the update is still in progress. Some bugs are present — like crashes when changing the screen resolution — and old Control Panel parts are still visible. This is expected in a test version.
Microsoft plans to officially announce Windows 11 on June 24, 2021. Reports suggest that most Windows 10 users will be able to upgrade for free, but the system may require newer hardware. The leaked version already shows a cleaner interface, updated icons, and small but useful improvements.
